“Lovesick is what pop promised to be, in the ’80s or’90s, whenever we were young, Velvet Underground, Echo & the Bunnymen, when our identity was externalized in our music, not in our selves. Rollicking. Romantic. Eerie.” - Lisa Crystal Carver

PREVIEW - SINGLES

Lovesick
...Hoping this is the End....
Goolkasian, also known as The Texas Governor, of the notorious and cutting edge trio, The Elevator Drops, is back with new music. Lovesick, a creative collaboration with painter and chanteuse Heather Joy Morgan.
An overdose of inventive love songs exploring the splendor & madness of love. A creative Rock & Roll experiment. A light & dark electro-cabaret. Lovesick’s debut release, “...hoping this is the end...”, was written and recorded in the anxiety of pandemic isolation and yet it feels free-spirited and fun.
BLUE SKIES ON MARS - “As I look in your eyes & I hope for a Hollywood ending - Blue skies on Mars
& I’m hoping this is the end”. A quixotic Sci-Fi sing-along? A hopeful surge of passionate feelings in a doom laden time here on planet earth.
HOLIDAY - features some beautiful upright bass played by the legendary Tony Garnier, whose bass is a staple on both Tom Waits & Bob Dylan’s recordings). The record was produced by Ross Cisneros, who has helped craft strings & sounds for BMG’s publishing catalog, (working with artists as vast as Lana Del-Rey, Serge Gainsbourg & Bruce Springstein) at Studio Geist.
WE’VE BEEN DOWN THIS ROAD - features a singing Italian Greyhound Puppy named Cozimo.

LIVE BAND
...
Goolkasian & Morgan conjure melodies of longing and the vagaries of fate, over a wash of distorted guitars from Adam Wade (Funeral Party, The Grey Davies, The Uprisers) and the thundering rhythms of Palana Belken (Palana Vs The Man)
